Nope. it's made that way on purpose.

If you'll notice, the Champion pistols and these carbines come on the same calibers.

 

Where would you find the regular flashider in 7.62x39 in case you wanted to make an SBR, though??

They're not "conversions". They probably entered the country the same way the WASRs do, in single stack form. I highly doubt Century is having WASR rifles cut up to make these, plus it'd be illegal to do it as far as the pistol is concerned, anyway.

The flash hiders were for sale some time ago but I haven't seen any in quite awhile. These look pretty similar and would look pretty good attached to the rifle, in my opinion.

I just received one of these fro Hammerstone yesterday and they are a blast. Yes they are WASR`s but mine was very well done.
I ran a quick box of wolf throughit to check function and it ran like a top. I am starting the SBR paperwork as we speak.

5.45 would be perfect. Esp. with all the Bulgy Krink kits out there for SBR. (Not here in MI tho.. )

 

I NEED AN AIR CARBINE!

The only way to make the 7.62 rifle correct, would be to have an underfolder. Hell of a lot more work than adding a side folder. The AIR carbine in 5.45... correct with a side folder.

 

All Wasrs are imported by Century I believe. In fact everything Romanian comes from Century I think. Century doesn`t build them. They covert them to double stack and add compliance parts. So yes it does say Century on the side.

 

I don't care for the shorty barrels. But that does make me glad I have a Romy sidefolder kit to build up this winter!

 

Got my tax stamp for mine the other day, off came the extended flash hider with a couple passes of a cut-off wheel to the tac k welds, blasted and gunkoted, refinished the blond Romy hg`s to their original splendor and viola!! Here she is!! Still a Wasr but I function fired three quick mags with no stoppages. Flash hider is the one offered by our own Rahatlakhoom. Nice huge star shaped fireball :grin:
