I Did own one for a Very short time.

ITs Decently Accurate but i found it To not Be what i was looking for. The Mag capability is a Big Bonus. but Be warned that Anything over a 10 rounder is Honestly Kindof OVerkill and Makes Shooting more difficult..
I used 5 rounders.

Comfort Level...Well.. its a 308. It kicks. but the killer was the amount of Climb i had after i shot..it really throws you off target to get a good follow up shot.

THE BOLT. this is were i got rid of it. im a very picky personw hen it comes to a bolt gun. Honestly. this has a decent bolt. but it lacks Majorly.

My honest opinion is that you should buy a Remington 700.. a gently used remington 700 With Synthetic furniture will be roughly 600ish. and you can Upgrade and make it fir and suit you better..

IF you are open to it.. Check out ther ruger Scout in 308. after i got rid of the mossberg. i still am in a debate on picking one of those up. ive shot them..and they are solid.

t
he MVP isnta horrid gun..nor is it bad. it didnt suit me. and i gave it chances. but in the end i didnt care to keep it. But i would say. Try it yourself you might like it more and itm ight be what your looking for

I have been tempted by one of these numerous times as well. I think I am gonna go with the Savage Hog Hunter myself as that is primarily what I want it for.

I took mine out last weekend. I didn't get through a whole mag before I started having issues. The rail was not loctited in place. My scope started walking off paper when I realized what had happened. Also pmags work like shit in it. I ordered a couple steel mags to shoot with hopefully they won't have such horrendous feeding issues as I had with the pmags. Some of the issues I had were in ability to pull bolt all the way open while extracting an empty casing as well has poor feeding. If it doesn't get better with steel mags I'm going to sell it and find another toy to play with.

On the positive side the trigger is crisp. Every pull was a surprise when it fired. Fit and finish are nice. Over all its a sweet rifle, I just need it to work well with a mag and I'm golden.

eta: if you do buy one make sure you tighten down your rear iron sight. Took me 20 minutes to find it after falling off.
