I picked up my WBP Jack Classic today and I'm very impressed

Fit and finish is nicer than my Arsenal and Zastava. Nice to see there are still people that take pride in their work. I put a quick hundred rounds through it and it ran like a Swiss watch.

I am a huge fan of these rifles. They're essentially a late era Polish factory AKM with all the oddball parts.

-cast gas block
-unique Polish lightening cut FSB
-50% of the correct military style selector markings
-no silly rail (on some of the models)

I think these are a huge step-up from the WASR if you want a bare bones factory made AKM since these are much more representative of a legit military rifle in terms of the receiver. Someone like AK John could easily cut the faux auto detent selector and lightly touch up with some paint so you'd have a very good military clone.

Fit and finish on the jacks is very nice, but i still prefer a nice thick Vepr.

It only took about 3 hours to file, paint, bake, and fit a Wasr perfectly, including smoothing/lightening the trigger, smoothing rails, bolt carrier etc to damn near Vepr levels.

Heres a cutie with said Wasr, and a pic of the rifle after fit/finish work and swapping in a fatty bakelite handguard.

Muzzle brake upside down to fit bayo sheath on for pic.
