Thought I'd post these here before they are lost forever on the other forum.....

The Basics.

You will need the following for this to work.

1. m64 - reciever
2. Shoulder Screw / Nut
3. Bolt Hold Open Lever
4. Retaining Rivet ( above trigger axis pin )
5. M64 Magazine, or Modified M70 magazine.

This BHO lever / feature is only for the YUGO m64. OR more Accurately called the M70A
It will not work in any other receiver.

You will have one of two receivers.

1. Re-Welded Original
2. ORF - Assault Weapons of Ohio

If you have a Re-Welded original, you will need to make sure the area in which the lever sits is clean and free of slag or other post welding issues.

If you have an ORF-AWO receiver the cutout area that the lever rides in may be a few thousands too narrow, Just take a little off the lever to compensate for this..

The Following photos should tell you everything you ever wanted to know about the Bolt Hold Open feature of the Yugo m70a/m64

Excellent post! Someone needs to need to make a posting of this caliber on how the PSL bolt hold open device works. If there is one please let me know.
Thanks!! Lot of research went into that.. I don't think many care about it though, have not seen many builds that incorporate the BHO device.....

Yeah, so many new guys lately, but few seem to be interested in arcane AK features. Lots of static, very little signal.

I've got an M64 full-stock with the BHO. Been meaning to make a video of it in operation with the receiver cover removed.

Blank cartridges I think, so I can do it at my leisure in my backyard.
