Has anyone had experience with DiscountAmmoStore.com? They have some ammo i am interested in, but have a $250.00 Minimum order. That is not a problem. Some things seem odd. Just trying to figure out if this is a legit site or not.

This type of deceptive behavior that has seemed to completely cast itself over the firearm community is becoming a real issue. While I’m aware that a large percentage of these “operations” are merely scams from a foreign country, I’m also under the firm belief that the civilian disarmament industry is behind some. Their goal is to sow doubt in mostly the newcomers to the game, thereby causing a segment to literally throw their hands up and give up. It’s following the same playbook that was done decades ago in politics. Make people confused and believe everything is a lie and then most people will simply disengage and move on to something more safer and easier. Money is the best motivator, as we all know going both ways. Myself and a few others are working towards undisputed proof of the civilian disarmament industry’s undeniable involvement in this.

Good analysis from the forum members.

The legitimate retailers in the industry are not making it any easier to sort the good from the bad, either.
I've been ordering some concealed holster stuff recently. The sellers do not state that everything is custom and made to order, or that they are one man operations. Sometimes no confirmation of receiving the order. A vague and often outdated time estimate of "a few days" or "weeks" on shipping time, if there is an order confirmation. No shipping notification. No tracking numbers.
After a month, when you ask if the order was lost or is in process, there is a surly response, a comment about being swamped in orders due to all the mass shootings, and a real feeling that you picked the wrong retailer to buy from.

This intersects with the new and unknown reputable retailers popping up to fill the void, and all the scammers who have been hitting us hard since the current panic started with the election and zombie apocalypse.

Back when the ammo executives were shooting off their mouths about "their workers didn't have time to answer the phone", the reality was that there were a lot of people out of work, ammo prices had inflated 700%, and answering the phone is not a high skill task. They were raking in the profits, they could put some waiters and waitresses on the telephones and use some of that extra green to make their customers less irate.

Somewhat old post but still true today.

Case in point, Hornady.

My wife is so upset she wants to never buy Hornady again, ever, no matter if in some cases it's the best deal, most suited, or even only source. E.g. 5.45 that we have a standing order on from local reloading place. When I stop buy, I'm supposed to tell him we won't buy buying more past the ones he already got for us.

Biggest sales ever, biggest markups ever, don't say you can't do customer service because times are too hard for you. They are rolling in dollars like never before.
