Dug out the Rob Stott vol 11, it is indeed the 1982 grenade launching ASH 78.

Looks like a hinged cover on what should be the rear sight! That rear sight does not look like someone welded on it, almost like meant to be that way for hinged dust cover. Very strange! Gas block looks modified with a gas tube lever to make a gas cut off. Any chance of more pictures? SMH

 

Albania ASH-78 with the gas shut-off for grenade launcher. Probably manufactured in early 1980's. Are you able to post a picture of the markings on the front trunnion?
