I am reloading 308 ammo and am wondering if anyone knows what grain weight of bullet works really good with the 1:12 twist Zastava M77 Barrel?
I have heard that 168gr. and 174gr. is pretty good.
Can I go with standard or match Bullets for Range target use?
Thank you for any help you can give.

I've been loading 150gr nosler ballistic tips over 47gr varget and Winchester LRP .. With great accuracy at 100 yards(which is as far as I can get a straight shot where I shoot) . I don't have my notes on hand but I know I'm getting about 2700 plus fps . Next time I'm out I plan on picking up some 168 gr and trying those out. But I'm very happy with my results from load I just listed

And I like to seat mine just deep enough to fit in the mag . If u want let me know I'll check my notes but if u have shit both 762x51 nato and 308 u know the Bari rounds are a bit longer than the 308s

Just got my M77 but it seems to like 150 grain Sierra ProHunters moving at 2750 fps. Still more testing to do. I will say that it does not like heavy 180 grain bullets. They were keyholing at 75 yards. But given the slower twist rate that is not beyond understanding.
