Ok, thanks. No games here. I’m not an active gun seller/buyer. About 15 years ago, I got into kit building. I probably built 12 AKs. These were the first 2 kits I bought. I didn’t know what “virgin” was and scope of what was needed was beyond my building capabilities. I decided to sell them because I probably will never build them. I recently went on here to see what they were worth, and the suggestion was to list on Gun Broker with no reserve and a low starting bid. I opened the bidding with what I paid for the kit. I just posted this here to make sure my Gun Broker listing was seen by people that might be interested. The Gun Broker listing will ultimately tell me what it’s worth. I’ll sell the second kit for that and maybe avoid some additional costs. I’m happy to answer any questions. I’ll actually be happy for whoever gets the kit and hopes it becomes someone’s great functioning rifle rather than collecting dust in my closet. If trust is the red flag, you’ll see that is not an issue. I do appreciate your concern though.

Why not post photos of the kit you’re offering here with your username and today’s date shown in photo? I know that’s easy to fake, but it’s a step in the right direction. If you had the 2nd kit listed here with photos that would show some credibility. Waiting to see what the kit brings on GB is what’s irritating to most forum members! It’s like free advertising but not offered for sale!

I’m happy to post whatever pics people want. I really had no idea what to list the kits for which is why I originally posted here in the “What it’s Worth” section. I never got any meaningful opinions. In fact, I was told these kits might not be worth as much as one would think due to people wanting chrome lined barrels). It was suggested I go to Gun Broker. I only want market price for the kits as they are. Gun Broker gives me the best idea of what that value is. Not trying to irritate anybody. If I can provide info that helps people feel comfortable in what I have to sell at a particular price, I’m more than happy to provide it, just let me know.

Yes, I gave that advice. It is hard to price a kit that you can get a better "my opinion" imported firearm from the same mfg with upgraded Chrome lined barrel and bulged trunnion. That make it better in my opinion. But the stock and wood could also increase that value to others since I believe the imported are pistols that may be converted with US furniture. Either way I still stand by my opinion that GB will show you what people are willing to pay for it. You will also need to get a receiver and pay to have it built so not sure I agree with the 1200 under valued but your guess is as good as mine. The closing auction will tell us more.

I didn’t post to insult you…only as a suggestion. Usually selling on the forums is easier and the fees saved can offer an Ak forum member a better price. Everyone has the right to sell how and to who ever they see best.

To clarify, my listing includes a registered receiver (under folder configuration)

[Front trunion] There is an “F” stamped on the front, and the number 201 scratched on the back. That’s the only numbering I see. I looked at the other parts, furniture, cover, etc. no numbers

Looks like a typical virgin it. clean and shiny likely a nice coat of light oil on all the parts.

Dang i just saw the auction. I would have bid to get the underfolder. Maybe not that much but i would have put a bid in. Btw the concern for getting ripped is easily done and glad some watch out for it. I even had the guy email a pic with user name and date etc for a yugo underfolder 4/8 rivet underfolder with trunnion for $200 not long ago. got a tracking # to nowhere.

The auction ends this week (Friday 8/5 morning I believe). Not taking offers here, except, I do have an identical kit that I may part with based on the final bid received on the subject listing.

I'd be super interested in the kit. When/how are you planning to sell it?
