are these complete kits with intact barrels, minus receiver only?
Troy,
What is the condition of the mags? Used really dosen't say much. Are both lugs intact on the Rec. stub?
THanks
i also would like to know about the stubs locking lugs.
pm'd you...also waiting on the same answers to questions above.
Yes the ones we have have complete barrels. But what is the deal on the locking lugs? It is illegal to reweld this receiver.

I believe there are some rear sections with the semi shelf still in place that allows the reweld.
That is a big!!!! negative. You can under NO circumstance reweld any part of a VZ58 receiver for semi-auto use. The ATF ruled on this years ago!

That might explain why one of the more advanced builders on gunco.net could not get his reweld section for the Vz58 approved by the ATF.

I have read several letters from atf stating that once a receiver is properly demilled it is legally scrap metal. Therefore it is just as legal to reweld to a semi auto receiver as it is to start from scratch.
i rewelded mine to a semi. shoots good. it has a totally different fcg than a vz has.

His point is that the rear section of the receiver is a FA designed part.

You would not need a midsection, you need a midsection AND the end piece. I.E., you need the last 60-70% of the receiver. Something not easily tossed together and something that isn't worth producing.

That is correct. There are several clarification letters that state a properly demilled receiver may be rewelded as long as the FA parts cannot be installed in the rewelded receiver. The letters I saw were for a Bren and several other heavy guns. I am in no way advocating making an illegal NFA weapon Troy, doing so wold be a felony. It would be strickly semi-auto with the required steps taken.

This is often done with milled AKs and as far as I can find out, its also 100% legal.
Good luck guys, But it will not be shown or discussed here. Without an ATF letter of approval. I don't care who has done what or when.

Sorry.
Could you post some pics with a little bit of a description on condition?
I'll have pics later. These are in real good condition. Mostly finish wear. If anyone knows the Czech military they were shot very little. They are going fast.
