(Back up again to test the waters) Israeli Light Barrel FAL
Guys, I don't know just what to say about this rifle. It is the nicest looking FAL I have ever seen. Every single marking is correct for this rifle. The stocks are as new issue. The rifle has the light barrel which is pretty rare these days, let alone mounted to a clone rifle! The receiver is a DSA Type2. The finish, proper colors for parts is second to none. The magazines included with this rifle are also true Israeli . All parts for this rifle are as they should be, right down to the last screw. The rifle does have the "forward assist". "This rifle is a true collectors rifle.
FAL ISRAELI Lt.barrel, cal .308/7.62. DSA type 2 receiver. Test fired only. Israeli proof marked throughout.( original lower receiver, open ear gas block)
Very clean inside and out. Excellent + bore. Beautiful wood furniture. Many numbered & proof marked parts. Incuded is 6-20 round original Israeli mags & 5-20 round Steyr mags. (11 total).
I've only owned this for a short time & never fired it. I'm not really a collector & this one is almost to nice to shoot. The pictures really don't do it justice. You just have to see it!
I might be persuaded to do a little trading this time depending on what you have. I'd be interested (+ cash difference) in Correct grade M1 Garand, pre-ban Chinese AK, high quality O/U 12g shotgun, Colt "Snake" wheelguns, 1911's, etc.
Serious folks only please! Let's not waste either of our time.
$1700 + 20 to ship to your FFL.

Damn.

That's beautiful. I don't have a SAS-M7 to trade though.
That's ok, your money is good here.
Problem is I went on a damn buying spree and I'm kinda low right now.

Maybe I could trade some Q-Gunner2 manual labor for it???? :goof:
Ah, indentured servitude. I like the way you think!
Are there any Izzy proofs on the barrel itself (under the handguards, usually towards the breach end)? If not, what markings are on it?

And I'll do that manual labor for your pre-ban Chinese or Portugese G-3.

If you tell me how to get the HG's off, I'll take a look for you. (I've got a rough idea how to do it but I don't want to scratch anything).
Tempting. I have a SAS M-7 Classic I could trade. I have to think about this one.
Unscrew the screw at the bore end of the handguards and then pull them apart and out of the wring at the breach end.
Yep, that's what I thought had to be done. I couldn't find any markings at all on the barrel.
"Teaser" bump.
BTT
Ok gentlemen talk to me, this ones back up for sale.
I'm in NW Ohio and may be interested if the price is right. What are you asking for it this time?

Who built this rifle? Which parts are the compliance parts?
David,

Who built the FAL?
Does it have a chrome-lined barrel/chamber?

I'm interested. That's a real nice looking FAL you have there brother. :hail:
It was built by Patrick Garcia in Alb. N.M. & yes the barrel & chamber are chrome lined.
Just a shot here. (By the way Indiana here but Montana is always home to me too.) Would you consider a Taylor 710 guitar in trade? I am the original owner(1990) and it is valued at $1600 though it has a repairable hairline crack in the neck stock which would cost $150-$200 to have it fixed according to the Taylor Repair Service Center who have seen pics of it. That is if you would wish to have it done. It plays just fine anyway and sounds and looks new as this is the only mark on it. This was caused my movers even though the guitar was in it's hardshell case. Early serial number 10960. I am not a guitar player but whoever is- this is a heck of a deal on an early Taylor. I am seeing who might be interested in such a trade or not. I am 55spartan in Gunbroker and 55bulldog in Ebay if you want to check my feedback. Thank you for your time.
