Yes, it should fit just fine.
I put a Bulgarian front sight on my WASR-2 a few days ago, same barrel size as the AKM.
I didn't modify anything, I just put washer over the face of the threads and tapped it a few times with a hammer.

Thanks, I really dont want to trust my new can to a 14mm thread adaptor.
I think you should convert a Saiga to a full blown AK-103 or buy a SLR-107UR etc.

A Red jacket can. I did try to buy a AK103 that Will had here last month.
