I picked up a U.S aftermarket AK stock (used) from a local shop that I am curious as to who made it (no makers indicated on the stock anywhere I can see).
It is a olive synthetic stock set that has a "U.S" mark on the butt stock. It has the ribbed black (painted) metal butt plate & sling swivel on the bottom. It is standard (not "NATO") length.
The lower foregrip is of the current military pattern on the outside -no heat shield inside, however. Also, no cleaning rod hole thru it (?).
The upper handguard (possibly incorrect) appears to be a olive painted, or, "coated" brown synthetic plastic -E.G?
It is for stamped receiver guns.
It's nothing special (actually, just so-so)...but was cheap enough to go home with me. Any ideas?
