OK,
I'm getting my first 5.45. I"m planning on buying some good ammo. Now, I'm familiar with all the 5.56 and what's good etc., but I haven't a clue about 5.45. I was going to order a case of Bulgarian or Russian or Wolf MC. Which is the better and "hotter" ammo? What is the "Wasp" ammo I hear about?

Thanks guys

Wasp is 7n6, aka the poison bullet. Russian surplus, Bulgarian surplus and Polish surplus in country are all 7n6 spec. At the moment polish surplus is pretty rare and is more of a collectable. Russian is the only thing currently available from most online vendors.

Get whatever you can get cheapest, which will likely be the Russian stuff at Rguns, or the Bulgarian stuff at Century Arms, assuming that Century will ship to your state. Century has free shipping on orders over $500, so if you make a large purchase from them, likely theirs will be the cheapest.

I have shot both, the Bulgy seemed a touch hotter to me, but I did not chronograph it to check.
