Stuck in the 80s...............................

Yep..........that's me on the right. 22 years old and fresh into the USAF....

Mike_F: Probably...Actually, early 80's this happened:

I walked into a sporting goods store in Milwaukee with my Grandfather. (Retired WWII Naval Officer) - He loved his 1911 during the war, but wanted a dirty harry type 357 or 44. Anyway, I walked down these stairs in the sporting goods store with him and right in front of me was 100-200 of the sweetest rifles imaginable - AUGS - UZI'z - AR's - AK's - Galils. That image is BURNED into my head. It was absolutley INCREDIBLE. Just imagine all of those pre 86 MG's.. damn!

The next week my dad borrowed his buddies m1 carbine and the rest is history.

Oh yea, I get my driver's license late 80's go back and they don't have any of that :sad:
