my buddy has 2 boxes of this stuff???what is it ans what size??

That is 7.62mm, not 7.92mm.

"S" was a German term to refer to heavier bullets, like the 198gr. s.S bullet. But either way, that looks like 7.62x39mm East German ammo. Most is corrosive, steel core (if early import), laquer cased. If the S DOES stand for heavy bullet, then I have no clue, but if it doesn't, then it should be standard 123gr. ammo.

iirc it was brass cased.....

whats the rest of the size tho???its 7.62x??????my friend has 2 20 rd boxes he said i could have ....just want to know what it'll fit....may just take it just to have it

Looking at the length of the box, it actually should be 7.62x54R. I have some East German stuff that was 123gr. training ammo, if it's brass cased it could be MG ammo or marksman ammo.
