Anybody know off hand the difference in weight between the three...Just loaded my new KT-8 Vest and damn its heavy....Wondering if 223 or 5.45 would be a significant difference?

I have a little of everything...The ones I put in there are Bulgy steel...I may try the waffles, but they are a little tight in a few of my rifles...

i dont think you will see much diff between the mags (loaded or not)
the 223 has a thicker barrel and might make a small increase

unless your talking about the vepr and all of them weigh a buttload

Get Polish polymer 30 round mags. The lightest of all readily availavle 7.62x39mm mags. They fit well, and they are LIGHT.

For instance (don't laugh), TWO 30 round Polish mags (empty) taped together weigh less than ONE 30 round steel Polish mag (empty).

Polymer mags don't rust and weigh less... I reccomend them. DO NOT GET PROMAG MAGS THOUGH!
