Trying to identify a rifle's provenance.

No country mark, no obvious arsenal marks. Selector, S A R. On trunnion: UE XXXX 1986. Furniture: laminated stock and handguard, red bakelite (with "chips") grip. It's not in the US.

Single hook trigger, rate reducer. The trigger is smooth, neutral engagement (hammer doesn't move up or down during the entire trigger pull). Bottom of bolt carrier is milled flat.

My guess is that it's a Romanian rifle... Anyone has an idea?

Rifle is in active service, dealing with poachers... I'll see if I can get pics and more detail.

I handled a couple of the Poacher Patrol Romanian AKM's at the Matobo Rhino Preserve in Zimbabwe, Africa.
Do not remember the serial prefix. They were 1960's dated as I recall.
