I am waiting on an upload from YouTube to show the firing of a single mag from this beauty. Dated 1952 with the cyrillic letter representing "G" I believe. The rifle was dead on and if it could speak would probably have some pretty sordid tales to recount. The marking was fairly crisp with an arrowed triangle (izhevsk); and then the date.
Wait on the videos guys, I've got another one of the same rifle showing the inner workings and surprisingly, the the receiver rails looked stamped, with the full auto slot simply cut away; so not really a slot but; the whole rail was cut about 1/3 of an an inch long to make room for the sear.
And here's a link to one of the videos.
