Hello, I have seen a few Mak 90 kits for sale. While I know the thumbhole stock and such are not correct building a vietnam era type 56 could you use one of these?? Trunnions, barrel, bolt etc would be correct style and barrel right length although the search would be out for a underfolder FSB. Thanks, Craig

Sure.

The MAK90 is just a thumbhole version of a civilian 56S.

You do have the bayo mount lost and the muzzle may be, probably will be , unthreaded.

That's about it.

For the Chinese Type 56, the non-threaded muzzle ins't too much of an issue as many were not threaded on the miltary issue ones.
