Anyone else running this scope?

A buddy of mine has one on his AK and it seems to shoot well.
It's pretty cheap too.

I'm new to AK's and need a good recommendation for a scope and mount for mine.
I'd like something in about a 1-2x red dot type, that's fast enough with aquisition and reliable.
I don't wanna spend a fortune on it, but I don't wanna cheap out on something that won't hold up or stay accurate.

Any help is appreciated. The iron sights are crap on my gun.
I saw that side mount from kalinka. Looks like it's a solid mount...?
Looks like you can easily spend more money on the optics than on the gun!

I read the thread about the modified side mount that sits really low and an aimpoint or...?

I don't think there is a lower mount than the Ultimak. It takes a little getting used to but putting a red dot on the gas tube becomes second nature after you try it a few times.

My AK didn't have a side rail, but it did have a rail up front like yours.

I ran into a deal on an EOTech this weekend and had to buy it.
I gotta say, I love it!
