I have a fabrication project underway. I need to drill as many as 100 1" holes in .170" thick A36 steel. I generally don't have to do any high volume cutting that big so I'm not sure what to use. Silver and Deming bit, annular cutter? I'd be using a drill press with a 5/8 chuck if I can get away with not dragging the steel all the way to work. What would be the best cutter for a home gamer?

TIA

Hole saw , good/quality hole saw , not anything cheap should do all 100 holes if set RPM's correctly and maybe brush on some coolant/oil
