The Last Gunsmiths Of The Khyber Pass - Darra 2019

I took a little trip to Darra earlier this year and met with the fabulous gunsmiths of Darra! I put a little video together highlighting some parts of this. Make sure to check out my other videos from there on various 'Khyber Pass' guns, Enjoy!

Thanks for the love guys! Will have better footage up on my next visit there. I lost some of my original footage so will have clips of barrels production, the overall market and manufacturing workshops of arms and ammo in the next one.

to live in a tyrannical country were you are allowed to buy any kind of firearm, with no backround checks,no waiting periods,no 4473s to fill out.glad I live in America, the freest country in the world,LOL
True., however., the murder, drug, crime rate in Pakistan is higher than the USA as well.
Note all the trash adjacent to the firing area.
The open pit bluing tanks and chemicals.

It all works out but might be a culture shock.

Not much infrastructure or controls on many aspects of life.
Tribal life is a very diffetent social living environment.

Cool weapons though.
Travel to unusual places is the great educator.

Saw another video where they had made a Chinese side folder copy with the receiver being milled but made to look like it was stamped complete with fake rivets.

you miss my point,or you do not want to address it.we are told we live in the freest country in the world, where we supposedly have the 2a bill of rights, but the reality is we live in a communist police state where there are over 20,000 gun laws."None Are More Hopelesely Enslaved That Proclaim They Are Free"those are the facts.sad but true.

That is just plain cool. So many interesting things. So many wants in your video. Thanks for posting it.

From the kids picking up spent casings I'm guessing they reload them. That would be neat to see. Also do they make/copy more heavier weapons like RPGs and the Dshk?

Its an awesome experience. They have their milling machine/lathes/cnc machines in different workshops and I will cover that in another video on my next trip!

Yeah they can sell the cases to be reloaded for a little bit of cash! They can make them but no longer do due to a new restriction after the recent Taliban issues.

It all looks cool but what about the safety factor? I seen movie clips years ago in the late 70s. Right after Russia invaded Afghanistan. The people were cutting rebar from blown apart buildings for rifle barrels and useing Kodak film for rifle propellant.

Times change and procedures change. Steel rebar is still used for some things but it all depends on your budget, the cheaper you go, the cheaper you will get.
