I'm considering installing a scope on my RPK, none of the alternative scope mounts seem as substantial as the side mount. I understand they need to be riveted into location, has anyone ever considered screwing them into placement like you would on the upper part of a receiver of a bolt action rifle. The thicker 1.6 mm receiver of the Yugo would seem to have the strength necessary and the mount itself has an angled hole perfect for screw attachment. I wouldn't attempt this without using Loc-tite to further "cement" the deal. I've taken into consideration the fact that 7.62 x .39 is not a heavy recoil cartridge to further loosen things. I've also thought about the fact that should the screws loosen I could in the end probably rivet it together.
