I'm looking at taking a legend as a partial trade on one of my guns. Never, ever looked hard and serious at the poly's, but I understand there is a serial number range that had some qc issues. What are the problems they had and what do I look for, and what is the serial number range to worry about these problems?

I am not aware of any QC issues with the Legends. To the best of my knowledge the only pseudo-Chinese guns with any issues were, the early .223 Polys were recalled (iirc 1985'ish), and the B-West that had US made receivers.

I dont think the Legends ever had a problem at all.

Actually, there are 3 problems with Poly Tech Legends that I can think of...

1-They are not cheaper.
2-They are not more plentiful except on Gunbroker-$.
3-They have not been imported since 1989, and never will be again! :sad:
