Matching numbers, all original (no hi cap mags, scope mounts, not altered or modified) 1952 and later have chrome lined barrel, so if looking at an earlier one be sure and check the bore. Most are rearsenaled, ones that aren't bring more money.

Tula most common, Ishevsk (sp) 1953 and 1954 only.

So basically all matching and original, you can't go wrong with a Russian, heck any SKS matching and original is worth getting.

Nothing wrong with a refurb. Perfectly functional rifle assuming it's not been Bubba'd

Yep. While its always nice to get a rifle that has not been through a refurb, legit refurbs are good to go.
