That is an interesting article. Thanks for posting it.

It really seems that these days wars are more of an economic conflict for the participating countries than they used to be. In the past they were an economic drain certainly but these days the participants have to deal
with more consequences due to the reality of the global economy.

I think the sad thing is the Russian Government really doesn't care. They are so paranoid about anyone messing around their borders that they will sacrifice economic gains for perceived border security. The people suffer again........ :neutral:

Rusian leadership has not really changed from Stalinist days.

They are still up to what they were with Uncle Joe.

Unfortunately, they have a lot of oil and natural gas that provides them enought income to pull their nonsense.

Best thing for the world would be if they went totally broke.
