I am building an RPK-74 witha virgin Bulgarian barrel. I moved the gas block only to discover that the barrel was indeed drilled. Silly me. Now I have a few nice gauges in an unfired barrel.

Is the hole really that small? Compared to my more familiar 7.62x39 rifles it is much smaller. Looking at a Tantal kit that I have the hole would indeed seem to be that small.

Any confirmation before I drill and place the pins would be appreciated.

thanks,
RSM
