Was there such a thing? I had this unit I saw on GB and was kind of amazed.

Side folding rear stock, bulged front trunnion, forward dong and a long barrel.

Then again it could of been a regular RPK with some hybridizing.

Just wanted to what everyone else knows. Thanks

Id just get a cheap cheap apex RPK lower hg to get the ball rolling. I noticed the lhg was very bulky with the dong, that's why I was curious. It looked like it was a specific part.

On a side note it looks like the one the guys holding in the picture that was shared is chopped .

Now all the sudden I really need to have one. It popped up and I never seen anything like it.

I remember the racks being loaded with Roma export model para RPK's after the ban expired. Probably not the same OG parts but built by Cugir of Romania, and exported for sale.

AOA got a batch of I think like 25 or so some years back. I snatched one, mine is a 1989 year gun with a serial starting UO. Some of the early Romanian RPKs that Century imported as the AES-10 were actually paratroopers with the dong cut off, sanded smooth and refinished, it's one reason why the forearm is so hard to find.

What did they go for price wise 25 years ago if you recall? Just looking for some basic information. I never seen one before this and probably will never find one, but I can try to start searching and getting info.

Seen one sold for around 1900. This one I posted about went for 1776??

It does have carry handle but no forward dong. It has also struck my attention that there are USA made gloves on the fellows hands. Aside from that it could be Rare, or possibly a AES? From what I have seen most every AES has the carry handle.

It could just be the ones mentioned by century? Probably why no fwd dong.

Yeah, there were. AoA had kits 5 or so years ago - right before Covid hit, iirc. I've still got the kit and a receiver (Morrissey I think?) in a 40mm ammo can, plus the long barrel and cleaning rod...somewhere... It's got the plain barrel without the cooling fins like the Yugos have. I haven't built it yet, not sure if I've got the right tooling since it has the bulged receiver like the Yugos.

Man I wish I would have known because I really would like to have one all the sudden . Going to probably start to put a WTB post out there see if anyone trying to part with one.

Most of the Romanian ones have that smoother barrel looks where the yugos had that finned barrel which was a stand out feature on the firearm.
