Replacing front sight block?

I'm looking to do the same with mine. I was told go for the Yugo fsb as thye have a bigger diameter hole. I used calipers on my barrels and then found a site that listed dims for the fsb they had for sale. It was either desert fox or aoa I got them from. Haven't done the job yet but thinking about picking up the toth tools to do it at xmas. I'm doing fsb and gas blocks on both rifles. If you do it soon post your results and thoughts. If you don't do it soon I will have a chinese fsb from one of my ak's that has the open type hood if interested.

I just found the youtube video for the toth tool to populate the barrel and seems easy enough just take your time. I would recommend using calipers for sizing your barrel though. I agree with the bulgarian also. I just recall people saying stay away from romainian and such as they are slightly smaller. If it is very close to correct size I would think the blocks could be heated. Anyway I found while looking for replacements different sights gave measurements and the blocks I bought were close if not right on to what was advertised. I'll keep you posted. Wish someone here had the toth tools to rent out. I borrowed/ rented the tools to thread one of my rifles from someone here. I just don't need to have the tools for keeps.
