Hey there,

anyone got an idea how to remove the hand guard of a Robarms Vepr? I managed to removed the gas tube, but not the lower hand guard. I thought it might be the sling swivel, but I can not unscrew it. The one on the stock was easy, but with the front one, I only managed to bend a nail that I was using for leverage, so I wonder how this is supposed to come off.

Can anyone help me?

Okay, I kept wondering why no one except me asked, so I decided it had to work like this.

It did. Screw was held in place with tons of loctite, it seems. I bent a 9 inch nail trying to pry it loose, a rod of hardened steel worked then.

Weird. Front handguard screws always need re-tightening on my Veprs after a range session. Never had a problem with them being too tight . Glad you were able to remove yours.

Alex @ rob arms NEVER used locktite on any of the VEPR models to secure the handguard with a 10/32 screw to the barrel clamp.

I found that when using red locktite you are good to go.

Which would explain why mine are always coming loose. :wink:
