Has anybody received any of the latest batch of
new-perfect condition Russian AK-74 laminate furniture
Doug or Rusmilitary.com has?

How do you like it? Pics?

Just asked Doug for the master price guide.

You know Tantal..I'm sure the 74 stock sets he has are pristine.

I really hope someone can post some pics

Heartbreakridge01,
Those look great!

I'm actually interested in recent or ANY pics/feedback
of Tantal's Russkie '74 furniture.

This is the three piece set I was looking to specifically get:

74W-3SET-NA Soviet AK-74 laminated wood 3-piece set (also fits any stamped receiver AK rifles). Best available color matches are hand selected in original and traditional medium orange-red (iodine) hues. The set comes with a Soviet dark red Izhevsk marked bakelite plastic pistol grip, and all metal hardware is in new condition. The upper handguard is a late style AKM pattern, while the lower is a traditional, extra-handsome Soviet AK-74 unit with deep finger grooves, sharply squared finger swells and no seam/sealer spot. Parts are in new, perfect condition. This is our best 3-piece set. Unavailable elsewhere! $189.95 (+ $8.90 shipping) IN STOCK
I wouldn't buy it.

$200 and it comes with an AKM upper?

While I'm aware of the difference between AKM lowers vs. 74 lowers,
what is the difference between AKM vs. 74 uppers?

AKM vs Ak-74

Ahhh, the pics say it all. Thanks FW200.
Now off to find some Pristine Rus. AK74 laminate(both upper/lower).
Ideas?
Rus military has AK74 sets

http://www.rusmilitary.com/html/c-deact_furniture.htm

cannon comment on them though. they say brand new never issued.
Thanks HBR01.
I forgot about those guys. I was a little hesitant(UK and all), but apparently
lots of people have had good luck on this site with them.

Looks like 46 Euros converts to just about $73 bucks. Great price and
not much risk for brand new Russian furn. :goof:

I think I might give these guys a try!

don't do the Euro to US$ conversion, just close your eyes and hit the "submit" order button
Re:

I can vouch for Rusmilitary and say his mags and furniture are top notch. He just got in non vented AK74 uppers. I am trying to contact him to see if he can sell those to me seperate.
Hmmm,
I believe these comments warrant a thread title change.

EXP Custom, which is more authentic/common to Russian '74s(specifically AKS-74s), the vented or non-vented?

Or is that factory specific or determined by production time lines?
Check out the stickys at the top of this forum. There is a very good one on the evolution of components usage for the '74.

The different uppers seem to be used at different time periods

Rusmilitary uses pounds ;)
So that's 46 pounds to $ is 91 USD$

that is correct lol, that is a great british pound symbol not a Euro Ironbalaclava so its going to be quite a bit more!
Pounds? Doh!

100+Bucks?
I think can swing that. Coming from the AR world, shelling out $300 + for Knight's Rail Adaptor Systems isn't uncommon. This would actually be a relief on the wallet.

I believe an Izmash '85 transitional AKS-74N with non-vented HG's is soon to be at hand.

Damn, stormy's sexy hotos really have inspired a lot ppl to to hop on the AKS74N bandwagon. I myself have a 1983 just to be a bit different
In several weeks I can post pics of a -74 stock set from rusmilitary

Oh...K-VAR offers this "Laminated wood upper handguard for AK-74. Made in Russia."
