Question about non-U.S parts

Ok, if I were going to put an ak together without using any U.S made parts (except for the receiver), first, would it even be possible? Second, what would the consquences be if someone in charge got wind of this? There must also be something about hi-cap mags that deals with this subject if I am correct, no?

Just thinking out loud is all.

About 13 years old. Am I close?
OF course it would be possible, the consequences would be terrible though if the alphabet people found out. How terrible depends on what kind of "example" they want to make out of you. Hi cap mags are state dependent, for ex, in Oregon there is no limit on mag capacity while in Kommyfornia the mags are limited to 15 or 20 rounds (really not sure but know they are limited to some ridiculous number)
It's very illegal. It will get you banned from here.

US compliance parts are cheap and not worth the jail time.

There are many in Ohio that might even help you assembling a compliant kit, if you ask.

(no one will help you with a none compliant kit)
Add about a decade and a half, Richard W., I wasn't being serious and that remark of yours was a little uncalled for.

I am still fairly new to building aks and was just wondering, I fully expected it to be against the law, but I didn't realize how illegal something like that could be. I still just don't understand why it would matter so much, after all, they are just parts. U.S and imported stuff functions in the same way, no? I would rather use the U.S parts anyways because they are new and not worn out like some of the imported stuff and there would be nothing to hide if the law sticks its nose in.

BTW, California's mag restriction is 10 rounds, same as NY and Massachusetts. I thought there might be some extra restriction on guns made with no U.S parts, but I guess it really wouldn't matter.
