PSA has been making some interesting products lately, and their initial quality has improved based on the reports I have seen here.

Now they are working on the VUK. I don't know what it is, but I like it.

Did anyone get a date for the release? Besides 7.62X39, I wonder what other calibers will be supported?

i am waiting on the VUK since last year. not a fan how it got thicker compared to concept from 2024 but it seems like the improvements they did a re well worth the change.
love the stock they chose for it too. strong AK-12 prototype vibes for me.
we'll see/ hopefully they get rid of that gian charging handle slot and add extraction port cover. the spoke about possibly moving CH to the left side, which i am all for.

Its interesting, and will likely come in under galil ace prices (and hopefully under galil ace weight), lrbho would be nice, but im not sold on it yet. modular rear sights (especially the rpk style) sounds great, i hate aperture sights. otherwise it will probably sell well in 5.56 and x39 especially if it does take std ak mags.

Whats quite odd and intruiging is the PSA 570 modular shotgun, i kinda want one but already have a fleet of 870's in various configs, as well as plenty of other 12ga options. I dont see the 570 outcompeting the plethora of cheap, proven used 870's and 500/590's already out there for well under $250 in any desired config if you get out there and look.

i dont see psa doing much in terms of innovation, mostly rehashing pre-existing designs, which is fine, but this isnt really that much of a technological leap they promise. The Jakl is much the same.

The only psa products i own are a few Dagger lowers with misc glock stuff; ive never seen a psa AR-10 cycle properly, and their ak's (especially the 74's) tend to be more problematic than a used combloc rifle, not to mention they will never be worth retail if one decides to move on later.

That said, the Daggers run great and their AR-15's as well, but i dont put much faith in their in-house designed rifles, especially their AK-74's.

I think PSA is trying to do too much too quickly. They are rushing concepts for possible production because everyone has to have something new at Shot Show or DIE! I have a PSA Krink and an AKV. Both run great and are reliable. I appreciate the price point and cheap magazine availability. I think PSA has done some great things for the gun market and the are US made!!
