If this was brought back from Vietnam and welded in the barrel, I doubt it, but hopefully someone will chime in who has experience with welded barrels. Welding barrels and or bolts up was fairly common for bringbacks. I've seen PPSH 41s from the Korean War done up like this.
Its still a very cool kit in any case, and would make for a unique build.

I think there was one guy who rescued a few stamped guns where they did that but it was a long process.

It just breaks my heart picturing poor little eth pounding in those little bid increments one after the other, just to get outspent. Sad, so sad.
