Those of you who have been around here for awhile, have grown accoustomed to my requests for AKs in the Snow pics. Down here in the SouthEast, we have'nt had a decent snow in 10 years. I love Palm Trees too, but I live a little too far North to be able to sucessfully grow them in my yard,.....................so lets see some AKs and Palm Tree pics!

I can grow Bananna Trees, here's the best I can do.

those look like small bannana trees
Hey JOHNO,

Comming from florida I miss my Bananna trees. How does yours stand the winter time in TN?
I have to cut em down and cover them with mulch in the fall, I have 12 now, the biggest is a little over 6 feet. I tend to baby my bananna trees, it's tough cutting them down every year.

There is an Old Man who lives up the road from me, I drove by one day and noticed several Palm trees in his yard. I had to stop and talk to him, he called them "Windmill Palms", they survive all year. I'd like to find some but I'm not sure where to look.
We have a shitload of them around here, but none in my yard.

Where's your sense of adventure?
My wife and I are going to move one day to a place that has palm trees year around, however until that time we have been trying to grow plams, and oleader by our pool. This is the first season we have had any luck, I bought 2 Mexican fan palms...they are actually thriving. I will have to shoot some pics.
I just found this site, had to order a Mediteranian Fan Palm.
