Does anybody else think that 'dune' is to islamists as 'red dawn' is to us? they actually say 'jihad' in there, and they defeat a superior enemy by sneaking up on them from the desert. they even have superior personal weapons!

I also remember hearing that OBL was a big fan of Asimov's foundation series.

read the books. the lynch film is terrible. although the set and costume design was great.

I've read the first three or four of however many books were written.

The Lynch film was fantastic in it's own right, however he did butcher the hell out of Herbert's book.
