Anyone know of a lawyer who either gives free or really cheap consultations? I have tried my state bar association but they want money to refer me and I'm unemployed so that won't work. If you might know someone, PM me and I can send details. The one person I found, I explained the situation and all they said, being a lawyer, was that I needed a lawyer. I assume its in the realm of employment law and whatever slander might fall under.

Not sure why I asked here. Maybe cause I know most people here are good people and would help out if they could.

Thanks in advance.

Legal representation is usually worth what you pay for it...but some attorneys will take cases on the house, especially if you can prove financial hardship and have a strong case. If you're looking to sue an employe for wrongful termination and again, have a strong case, they may pick it up and take a cut off of whatever you're awarded. Just my non-lawyer input. Call around and find one who will help.
