Differences beside caliber?

None that I'm aware of, but the different calibers also necessitate different mags and muzzle devices (same style, different size hole).

I've got a -105 style carbine in work as I type this. It's gonna be sort of a Bulgarian/Russian crossbreed (SLR-105 base rifle w/ Bulgy FSB and "beercan" flash hider; Russian AK-100 type poly sidefolding stock).
