I'm having trouble sorting out the value on a T2 kit I was offered, and it's apparently been a while since I looked at T2 kits so I'm worried that I might be valuing it too low.

It consists of a mix of both early (circa 1951-52) and late (circa 1954-55) T2 and T3 parts, as well as some non-Russian components. There are no matching serials in the kit. Details:

  • Early T2 barrel assembly (complete), counterbored
    Early T2 underfolder rear-stub (complete)
Late T2 front stub, cut close to the lugs
    T2 selector and trigger guard
T3 top cover, recoil assembly, laminate pistol grip and handguards
    Bulgarian gas tube
    Bulgarian bolt and carrier
It looks almost exactly like this kit, minus the mag:

I figured a value of around $1000 based on a couple of recent (in the last 9 months) kit sales I found. I could be way off though.

EDIT: Removed irrelevant info.

Really the valuable parts there are the front end(mostly stub) and the rear end, assuming its original early stub and stock. Those two would fetch 500+ and the rest is just blahh. It's a good kit for a beginner collector. Not so much for the experienced.
