Ok, I have this AK. It's got a chinese barrel, and I'm going to stuff it into a Global Trades euro spec front trunnion with the 18mm hole in the front. The barrel is used, and as such has the divot on top where the old barrel pin was. The new trunnion is undrilled.

Do I need to drill an oversize hole, and use an oversize pin?

Do I need to ream the hole after drilling?

What's the best way to do this in my garage?

I always drill undersized by about .020". Then ream to around .002" press fit. You need at least a drill press, preferably a mill. It can be done with a hand drill, but there is a good chance you will either follow the hole in the barrel or break the bit.
