Paid about twice what an ordinary M44 goes for, but what can you get for 150 bucks? :D
It's a 1944 Tula hex receiver M44, check out the serial #. The only year that Tula made M44's.
Now to make up my mind if I want to blow another 150 bucks for a 1943 dated Izhevsk M44

Got an M44 you want to share? Go ahead.

Pictures!!!

You sure don't see too many of them, some 45 Izhevsk carbines have been reported with hex receivers too.

One of two 1943 M44s I got from RGuns during a group buy over at gunboards.com forum . $100 a piece shipped. Muzzles are counter bored, not all matching, some line-outs and the RGuns billboard import stamp, but I'm still glad I bought'em.

Very nice! You don't see one of those everyday.

Unlike mine....1946 Izhevsk. The metal was mint, including the bore, but the stock's finish was beat to hell. It just didn't look right, so I refinished the stock.
