I have had this sling for a few years now and use it on my AK that I shoot the most. I really like it because its very wide? Anyone seen one of these before? I can't even remember where I got it.

Looks like it was made for Chinese women...maybe off of a purse :grin:


I had to edit twice because I kaint speell wen im drunck :razz:

Jk...It's Chinese for sure..maybe something heavier like a Type 67.

You really think it is for a Type 67? Thats a 25 pound machine gun! :smile: Honestly no one has ever seen a sling like this before? Someone chime in that knows!

Notice the slight brown tint towards the middle...its a G string for a Chinese Mongolian sumo wrestler as seen the pic below.

kinda reminds me of a Karate or Tae Kwon Do belt that has been dyed...

It really looks like someone converted a shoulder strap from a bag into a sling. Be it a soldier or a commercial vendor in China. The shoulder strap could've come from a military-style bag (map case, small equipment bag, etc.) but usually they're thicker and made from a web material.

I don't think I'd put money on it being an actual military rifle sling other than someone in the military may have made it or it was made using a military bag strap and sling tabs.

I think everyone agrees that it is Chinese in origin though. That cheap green paint on the buckle was my hint.
