I ordered an AK 74 rear sight from Andrei via gunbroker thinking that a current issue rear sight with the distance "nicks" was going to arrive. That's what he had pictured.

This is what showed up.

Is it an AKM rear sight? Early AK74? The Tantal/Ekie guide has me thinking that it's an AKM rear sight.

AKM sight.. Use may have continued until the early 74 era.. Not sure.

The trunnion on my AKS-74 is going to be '81 dated, so this thing may have to go.

Is it possible to tell if this is a Tula or Izh rear sight by the font? The font doesn't match the pics on the Tantal/Ekie guide.

I cant tell the difference, and I have both to compare side by side.
