-it has no arsenal markings
-it does not have ribs on the front spine, just those two little cuts
-metal floorplate
-it looks like the original russian bakelite from the picture on that website just that its black

Bakelite mags are not black, unless it's painted. I think you may be SOL for the time being with the very little info and no pics you have provided...
Im starting to think it might be painted, but idk, ill have pics in a little over 2 hours, and im not sure if its bakelite or not, i dont know exactly what bakelite feels like, I only geussed it was bakelite because it didnt seem like plastic or polymer. again, pics in 2 hours.
Black polyamide AK-74 magazine with only a mold number on it?

Polish Tantal.

OK. it's not Polish.

Looks like a painted East German mag.

If that's red-brown coloring near the top where the paint is chipped, then I'm sure of it.
Ya I think your right, when I was taking the pictures part of the black started to chip off and reveal the orange color of the regular bakelites. darn for a second there I thought I might have something rare, like one of those "true black" mags.

Yep. Robinson Armament sold those with their 5.45 VEPR II rifles for awhile; the finish was slightly textured, like spray-on bedliner. A lot of individuals have also painted their EG bakelites to disguise the orange color.
