A while back, I picked up a M/N 91/30 Izhevsk ex-sniper that had been re-tapped for the side mount.

I just received a matching-year PU scope in the mail today. However, I now see that the holes re-drilled are larger and of a different thread than the screws supplied with the side mount. One of the locating pins is a bit off as well.

So....this thing is going to need to be gunsmithed to get the scope and mount in proper shape and working.

Anyone have recommendations?

Here it is without the scope mount screwed in:

Is anyone familiar with Frank Robertson who advertises on gunboards? Apparently he does sniper restoration work.
