Just redid the picture album on the N Korean Type63 SKS, many more (better pics) & more detail also did a section comparing the N Korean to a 53 Soviet Tula SKS, the N Korean appears to be based on the Soviet late production gun as all the machine work etc is almost 100% the same, by late production I mean the side rail marked "no date" Soviet guns which were originally fitted w/laminate stocks, these are thought to be late 55-56 production, the machining on the 53 is the same as the 56 but markings & stock make the difference. Just out of curiosity, does the Type 63 have any similarities to the Chinese Type 56 or for that matter any models other than the late Soviet? Any distinct Korean charateristics?
