What's the difference in performance between a slant break, and a birdcage suppressor? Does the biirdcage give you anything better than the slant?

The slant is cut and positioned accordingly on the muzzle due to the AK's tendency to climb up and to the right during full-auto/rapid firing. The birdcage is a flash suppressor. Two different animals with two very different purposes.

Thanks. I have slant breaks on my WASR's, so I'm comfortable with how they shoot. Since the rifle won't fire full-auto, then the benefit is probably minimal.

I'm thinking about replacing one of the slants with a birdcage. Will there be any difference in the way the rifle performs? Firing semi-auto, is the "climbing tendency" more noticeable? I also have read where the birdcage makes the rifle louder...is that true?

I have no brake...or FH on mine and I don;t notice it climbing much

Technique is more important than muzzle devices IMO
