Any serial numbers? Looks virgin.
Never been on a rifle. No serial numbers.
Is it parkerized, and do you have a link to Northridge?
I got a Sar-3 romanian and was wondering if it would fit since its AK-74 style.

Here's a link:

I bought mine from them at a gunshow. The MPiKM (AKM) top covers are not advertised on the website, though the MPiKM-74 (AK74) ones are (slightly different style and in black enamel finish). You'd have to call. Some members said they recently had trouble communicating with them via phone.

I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't fit an SAR-3. It's the same length as my Bulgarian AK-74 top cover.
Actually that's "mid" German production AKM-style. There was an earlier one that had more pronounced ribs, and the late one used the 74 style top cover.

I've been doing some research and am fairly certain those spares aren't parked, rather blasted then coated in some sort of stabilizer. More to follow about that later.
Put some oil on that, it will turn blacker than night. Much akin to when my gunsmith blues...anything that comes out of the tank (that was bead blasted or matt), is very grey until you oil it.
Which one SN 787 or SN 1180, I dont want to get the wrong one.
Thanks!

Looks like SN 787. I didn't see that listed when I looked last night.
My top cover was also purchased from Northridge. This is what it will look like whn oiled:
