On what few Milled Mak-90's I've seen the bottom rear part of the receiver is cut off at an angle, thus making the rear end have two distinct surfaces. Did they ever import any that did not have this cut? How hard would it be to have a piece welded on to fix this if you wanted to de-ban one?

After seeing the welding miracles displayed on the board lately, I'd say your idea is a good one.

The rear end of a T3 receiver is not just a squared-off hole like a stamped receiver, though. I think you'd have to either graft a donor stub from a demilled real T3 receiver, or have a chunk of steel attached that has enough meat for you to sculpt something that looks like this.

(T3 receiver, prepped for the installation of a lower stock tang)
