A BIG +1, it's up for debate if it's legal to engrave the trunnion serial number on the receiver PRIOR to front trunnion removal and then remove the front trunnion. It's been done by some big name AK smiths.

the big problem is when you sandblast those receivers the serial number disappears. Also, alot of the stamping is very, very faint...
